WooCommerce

The getAddress() Address Autocomplete plugin adds Danish address autocomplete from DAR (Danmarks Adresseregister) to WooCommerce, on the block checkout and the classic [woocommerce_checkout] checkout. It is free; look-ups come from your getAddress() plan. The same plugin serves Australia from getaddress.io: connect each country you sell to.

Install it from the wordpress.org plugin directory: Plugins → Add New → search “getAddress() Address Autocomplete”.

What it does

Set up

  1. Install and activate the plugin. WooCommerce 9.9 or later.
  2. Open WooCommerce → Settings → getAddress() and press Connect getAddress() for Denmark. Sign in, or sign up free, at getaddress.dk and allow your shop. The plugin is given a domain token for your shop's domain and an API key of its own on your default subscription, and address autocomplete is switched on.
  3. Tick the options you want: company names, My Account, Postboks, order address check.

Prefer not to connect? Paste a domain token for your shop's domain and, for the order address check, your API key, then switch on Address autocomplete under WooCommerce → Settings → General.

Disconnecting

Disconnect on the plugin's settings page, or under Connected shops in your console, stops the shop's key and domain token at once.

Costs

Suggestions are free, however many a shopper sees: the plugin asks for them text only (kun_tekst=true). Each address picked is one look-up, the call that fetches it (/adresser/{id}). Each order check that finds an address is one look-up; a Postboks is recognised without a look-up, and an address that isn't found costs nothing. Company name suggestions are free.

Privacy

What a shopper types is sent from their browser to https://api.getaddress.dk to answer it and is not kept. The order check sends only the delivery address (street, floor and door, postnummer and town), never a name, email or phone number. See the privacy policy.
