Company
The Company API returns an active Danish company's record by its CVR number — typically the
id of a Companies suggestion. Each record found counts
one look-up against your plan; a number whose check digit fails (400) or that is not
an active company on the register (404) costs nothing.

The address
CVR points most companies at a DAR address: the same address, with the same id, as
/adresser/{id}. Then address is that DAR address, read from our own DAR
data, in DAWA's mini shape with its coordinates (x longitude, y latitude, WGS84), and
source is dar. A company registered at a free-text, PO box or foreign address has no
DAR id; its address is given as CVR registered it, with source cvr:

The address is the company's location address (beliggenhedsadresse), not where its post goes. If the DAR address cannot be read just then, the record still comes back, with the address as CVR registered it.
Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| cvr | The 8-digit CVR number. |
| name | The legal name. |
| other_names | The company's other names (binavne). |
| company_form | The company form: code and text, e.g. 80 Anpartsselskab. |
| status | active. A ceased company answers 404. |
| register_status | CVR's own status text, e.g. NORMAL; a company under bankruptcy proceedings is still registered, and says so here. |
| start_date | The day the company started. |
| industry | The main industry: its DB07 code and text. |
| address | The location address (above); null when CVR has none. |
| reklamebeskyttet | true when the company has asked not to be contacted for direct marketing (reklamebeskyttelse). |
| data_as_at | The day the record was last confirmed against CVR. Changes reach the list each night. |
Reklamebeskyttelse
A company with reklamebeskyttet true has asked, through CVR, not to be contacted for
direct marketing. You must not use such a company's record for direct marketing — CVR's terms of reuse require it,
and so do our terms. Using it to fill in or check an address, an invoice or a sign-up is fine.
Company data is from Det Centrale Virksomhedsregister (CVR), Erhvervsstyrelsen, under CC BY 4.0 (Data sources).
